Laurel uses both research and her innate intuitiveness for creating all her images. She brings a love and natural eye for color, design & patterns. Exploring metaphysical & spiritual connections to the natural world and it’s elements. With an interest in myths, legends, astrology, symbolism, science & nature. Themes of ‘what is beauty?’, villain -vs- victim, love & loss. With an emphasis on the beauty and strength of women. Challenging societies outdated notions, presenting the female form as sensual, strong and confident. She adds these ideas and themes to all her work to create pieces that are not just aesthetically beautiful, but meaningful & thought provoking as well.
